A 5 million dollar class action lawsuit has been launched against Quibids.com by a disgruntled penny auction player. Mr Lawrence Locke of Oregon has retained an Oklahoma based attorney to file suit against the misleading penny auction website Quibids.com.

Mr Locke states that he was misled to the site with promise of getting a great deal on retail electronic items but what he wound up with was just an empty bag. Mr Locke also states that Quibids.com misled him with there fake news advertisements that are spread far and wide across the internet.

These advertisements stated that consumers at Quibids.com had the chance to participate in penny auctions that promised consumers steep discounts to retail market price of traditional brick and mortar stores. Quibids regularly advertises 99% percent off all of there items but Mr Locke states “he was not able to enjoy that or any discount at Quibids.com”. Readers here at Penny Auction Investigator.com are patiently waiting for the final decision of the impending litigation between what Quibids.com promised and what should have been delivered.

Quibids Video Review

It’s pretty obvious that “100Payback” had a pretty bad time bidding on Quibids.com. The reviewer didn’t really go into the details of his experience on the site, like how much money he lost etc., but his story should be enough for you to get the point. (Warning: Strong language in the video.)

Track down the Competition with QLive

Competition is a big part of participating in penny auctions. Bidding against anonymous individuals has always been a part of the thrill and the frustration of taking part in auctions like these. However, QuiBids has managed to conjure up a feature that gives its bidders a bit more information about their competitors than the usual anonymous username.

Qlive is an interactive map for Quibids that allows bidders to see where other opposing bidders are bidding from. Though this is a unique feature to Quibids, its intention wasn’t to give any one who utilizes the technology any significant edge over the other. Qlive is simply another way adding a new dimension to the people and the community that make penny auctions what they are.

Qlive utilizes different colored flags to denote one kind of bidder over the other. A red flag indicates the winner of a current auction, while yellow flags indicate what locations the competing bids have been made from.

Quibids users aren’t required to use this feature, however. Hiding the Qlive window is as simple as clicking “Hide”, while recalling it back to the front is as easy as selecting “Show”. To protect your privacy however, bidders can opt to hide their location from coming up in Qlive. By selecting this option, your location will still be revealed on the map, but within the Bermuda Triangle. Just another way of injecting some fun into the auction.

Qlive does not come without its kinks however. Some bidders may find themselves popping up in Illinois on the Qlive map when they really reside in California. However, Quibids is confident that it can iron out the bugs down the line. But as of right now, Qlive is still a unique feature that’s yet to be utilized by any other penny auction site.
