The closing of PennyJersey.com is proof that opening a penny auction is not as easy as it seems and unless you have deep pockets or an endless supply of cash to throw away on advertising that might or might not work don’t be so fast to quit your day job and open a penny auction. When you hear about opening a Penny Auction think of who stands to gain from the average “joe” trying to enter that endeavor. From the webmaster to the scripter to the hosting company to the 6% processing fees, everyone has there hands out and theres no guarantee that you will survive. Most would be penny auction owners will spend thousands of dollars before they even make a buck. PennyJersey.com followed the way of many would be penny auctions and is now resting in peace.

Dear Sports Fans,
We hope all is well this great holiday weekend. It is with great sadness that we bring you the latest news regarding PennyJersey.com. As many of you know we have had numerous struggles in our battle to return to the penny auction scene and it seems that lady luck is just not on our side. The past week has been a tumultous one for the PennyJersey family and due to recent events in our personal lives PennyJersey is being laid to rest.
We know the first question on everyone’s mind will be what about my bids….we want to assure everyone t hat everything possible is being done to provide a solution to our faithful users who have put their trust in us. The final auctions that were run at PennyJersey will be fulfilled in the next few days and once they are processed we will contact users regarding a proposed solution for refunds. Please know that we will make everything right but it may take a little bit of time to get there.
