Famdabidozy Auctions is another relatively new penny auction site on the web that seems to specialize in items fit for homeowners and the rest of the family. Items on the site include gift cards for popular retail outlets such as Target and Walmart, ladies’ bags, bedroom items, and electronics such as HDTVs, iPods, and mobile phones. Quite frankly, Famdabidozy lacks that “wow” factor when it comes to their auctioned items, but this is understandable since the site is new. The more impressive prizes seldom go on auction, so it’s best to try your hand with the regular items.
Like most penny auctions, each bid on Famdabidozy increases the price of the item by 1 cent. In the final minutes of the auction, each bid increases not only the price, but the timer by 20 seconds. Once the timer reaches zero, the auction ends and the winning bidder can purchase the item by its final price. Note that item prices on the site rarely go beyond $3.00, so you’re getting a pretty good deal if you bid smartly and win.
Famdabidozy offers 4 different types of auctions, each designed for different “skill sets”.
One thing that’s unique to Famdabidozy (and this is based on what we’ve observed on other sites so far) is its use of a clever networking promo. Famdabidozy calls it their “Refer A Friend and Win Affiliate Program”, a networking strategy that links bidders to their friends who also registered permanently. Now if your friend wins an auction, you instantly win 20 free bids. You also get to receive 5 percent of the revenue your friends spent on buying bids. You get to earn this amount every month, every time your friend/s buys bids.
So far we haven’t read any feedback on this promotion, so we’ll have to wait and see if it really works or not.
