My experience with Qbid has bee nothing but positive. One has to be patient and ready to compete. I have no evidence that other bidders were real consumers looking for a deal.

I registered with quibid, bought three of their $ 45.00 bid packs and bid on several
“auctions” and won several for “low-end products.
I was ok with this for a while, until I found
they had charged my credit card for additional bid
    packages, totaling over$1000.00without my authorization

They call themselves an Auction, but when you bid, you pay. I am glad I only spent the bare minimum till I realized whoop! where is my $$$$? Every bid cost you .75 cents What a rip off. I gave my money and I didn’t win any auction.

    Hello,

I have nothing but good to report about this site and frankly it’s the only site where I seem to when.

I started bidding there about a month ago and won my limit after just one week. The largest item I won was a set of golf clubs that I won for a total of 87.00 including the price of the bids.

Ok I got taken, thought I was on an honest site tried it out.I should have just bought the items at the store.Found that Quibids has different pages for different people. My daughter joined we were both on at the same time and there were different items she had to bid on and could not see my items I was bidding on.
Then I went after a camera, the same camera in three different Auctions. This is where I got taken. The first Camera,I bid on and kept going placed over 290 bids and then my screen jammed right at the end of the Auction and some new bidder took the camera when my screen unfroze.Ok I thought it happens.
So I started bidding on the same Camera on another auction, I continued bidding bid over 190 bids over 4 hour period, guess what, just as my SCREEN FROZE AGAIN, THE AUCTION ENDED AND ANOTHER NEW BIDDER WHO JUST SHOWED UP TOOK THE CAMERA.I WAS PISSED , REALLY UPSET.I CALLED COMPLAINED THAT THEY TOOK MY BIDS AS MY SCREEN FROZE.
Third time for the same Camera,ok this time I figured I would just bid till I won it or I would use all my bids to buy it.I was bidding on the Camera for 6 hours, placed over 590 bids on the camera. GUESS WHAT,MY SCREEN THEN WENT A GREY COLOR AGAIN AND THEN THE SCREEN FROZE, AS IT FROZE I COULD OT BID ,AND WHEN IT DID UNFREEZE THE AUCTION ONCE AGAIN ENDED,THIS WAS THREE TIMES THE SAME THING HAPPENED ,SCREN FREEZES AND THEN A NEW BIDDER WHO JUST SHOWED UP TOOK THE CAMERA. THE LAST TIME I FILMED IT SO I HAD PROOF. I CALLED CUSTOMER SERVICE AGAIN,SPOKE WITH A NICE YOUNG LADY EXPLAINED WHAT HAD HAPPENED AND THAT IT HAPPENED FOR THE THIRD TIME.SHE SWITCHED ME OVER TO A MANAGER.THE MANAGER SAID SHE LOOKED UP THERE SYSTEM AND THERE WAS NO FREEZE ON THERE END ,SAID IT WAS MY COMPUTER THAT FROZE NOT THEIR SYSTEM. SO WHEN IT FROZE IT ALSO DID NOT LET ME BUY T USING MY PLACED BIDS, THE MANAGER DID FIX THAT SO AT LEAST THIS TIME I BOUGHT THE CAMERA FOR MORE THAN I WOULD HAVE IN A STORE. Also the value of the items they auction are false,if you do a search you will find QUIBIDS ITEM COST IS INFLATED UP TO $300.00 OR MORE THAN THE ACTUAL VALUE. YOu cannot win on this site and i do believe they froze my screen three times to cause me to loose.
OH YES , the last time I was on I watched an Item and was going to bid on it and I just watched how the system went. AS I WATCHED I AGAIN SAW A NEW BIDDER COME INTO THE ROOM AND I THOUGHT OH YES HERE IT GOES AGAIN. As I watched the bidding , all of a sudden there was a pause on my screen, and the AUCTION ENDED SIGN CAME ON.THIS TIME AS I WATCHED THE PERSON WHO HAD BEEN WINNING THE AUCTION AND BIDDING DID NOT WIN.AS I SAT THERE LOOKING AT MY SCREEN AND THE AUCTION END SIGN CAME ON THERE WAS NO WINER LISTED, THEN THERE WAS A QUICK FLASH AND THE NEW BIDDER WHO HAD JUST COME INTO THE ROOM TOOK IT.BUT THE BID WINNERS NAME WAS BLANK ,AND THEN ALL OF A SUDDEN ON FLASHED THE NEW BIDDERS NAME CLAIMING HIM THE WINNER. I believe the name of the bidder was already predetermined as there was no way for that screen to be sitting there with no name as winner then all of a sudden his name pops onto the screen as winner 5 seconds after the auction ended. This is imposable to happen if it is legit. That new bidders name was put in after the auction ended .
Also when my screen froze I had to go to the HOME button to get it to unfreeze and when I went back to look for the item I was bidding on was gone,no where to be found and i could not get back into the auction I had been bidding on for 6 hours ,WHERE DID THE ITEM I WAS BIDDING ON GO?, WHY DID IT DISSAPEAR AND HAVE NO LISTING OF THE ITEM. ONE THING I NOTICED WITH QUIBIDS IS THAT THEY DO NOT LIST A SERIAL NUMBER ON THE ITEMS SO YOU CANNOT TRACT THEM USING A SERIAL NUMBER TO BE ABLE TO TELL IF THE SAME ITEM WAS BEING PUT UP AS A NEW ITEM AND HAVING PEOPLE REBIDDING ON AN ITEM THAT WAS AUCTIONED OFF EARLIER.
DO NOT TRUST THIS SITE , TOO MANY FUNNY THINGS GOING ON, FREEZING SCREEN, NAMES OF WINNER PLACED ON SCREEN 5 SECONDS AFTER THE AUCTION ENDED . AND NO SERIAL NUMBER FOR EXPENSIVE ITEMS TO TRACK TO MAKE SURE THEY ARE NOT PUTTING THE SAME ITEM UP FOR RE-BID WHEN TOSE FREEZES TAKE PLACE. GREAT WAY TO MAKE MORE MONEY IF YOU HAVE AN EMPLOYEE BIDDING AND THEN RETURNING THE ITEM SO THEY CAN AUCTIO IT OFF AGAIN.
BE CAREFUL OF THIS SITE, JUST BUY IT FROM A STORE OR SEARCH THE INTERNET AND BUY THEM CHEAPER THAN QUIBIDS LISTS THE RETAIL VALUE.

I am currently writing a book about Penny Auction sites, and I have been on Quibids many times. My experience with Quibids have not been a positive one. For one, they froze my account for no reason at all, with my MONEY IN IT!!! So, I could not access my money OVER THE CHRISTMAS HOLIDAYS! I was pretty upset, so I wrote their customer service asking why this was happening, but to this day I don’t have an answer. They did assure me that they refunded me my money, but as of today the 6th of January, I still don’t have my money back! I have gotten nothing but the run arounds with Quibids, and I am very frustrated with them, so I guess they don’t get a good review in my book!

I have nothing but GOOD things to say about QuiBids. I have won 6 items and they ship promptly and have a good business model. I think anyone giving them a bad rap just doesn’t have a good bidding strategy or is from another penny auction.

Here is my review on DealDash that I researched and it had big investors behind it so I thought I’d give it a try which was a bad idea!

I just tried out Deal Dash after watching the limited auctions it had last night and found it to be a scam. The same bidders were on several auctions at the same time bidding crazy amounts, bidding up the items. I understand that happens, but I noticed the same two bidders from the start of the auction were consistently bidding and started keeping track of 2 bidders and how often they bid and how many times. After 1.5hrs of watching I found these two bidders had bid on a $50 gift card 552 xs (and it was still going!) so that would have been $331.20 worth of bids, and they were doing the same type of bidding on another item at the same time. Why spend $331.20 of bids on a $50 item?!?!

So this morning I decided I needed to use up the bids I had bought 40 @ $24, so I decided to go all out on a $50 Khols gift card and if I lost (which most likely on this site I would) I’d pay the difference of the retail price and be done with Deal Dash. So I click on the “Buy it now” button and they want $71 for a $50 gift card. This card came with 35 deal dash credits, and I guess they make you pay the entire retail and the credits cost/shipping/handling and they give you your bids back that you used. You DO NOT get to apply the bids you used twords the retail cost. I did NOT want to pay for “credits” I just wanted the retail item ($50 gift card) minus my bids. Why would I want my bids back for “free” to go and use on their crappy site again!?? I felt it was a no win situation, a ploy to keep bidding on their stuff and not really get anything out of it except something I could have gone to the store to get for $50 minus paying for more credits that I wouldn’t use…
BEWARE of these users that seem to win over & over and use TONS of endless bids!

OH! And not to mention, you never get to see the auction bidders unless you purchase a bid pack to know it’s the same users unless you get someone like myself that occasionally bids or is just using up their bid pack like myself…

QUIBIDS is a scam and outright fraud. I have documented over 20 cases and witnessed many more of how they fix their auctions. If you look at any item of over $250, chances are you will see this scenario. This has to be pulled off from the inside. There are always two or three brand new users who have never won anything who are on bidomatic or just keep bidding single bids. I witnessed this for four hours on an IPAD that went for $58.00. That is over 5,800 bids. It was mostly four people bidding. They would have spent close to what the item is worth. How many people brand new to the site would buy a ton of bids and never stop bidding. The winner used 477 bids and had never bid before. I have seen this on over 50 occasions. This has to be coming from the inside to run up the price of the auction and ensure that people waste all of their bids. There is no way to compete with people who never stop bidding. $5,800 * $0.60 = $3,480 for a $500 product. The person winning is also on the inside so they do not even have to give away the product. I lost 100 bids and am sure many others did the same. It is pure profit for the company and it is not how they claim to run the site. I called and spoke to a manager and demanded my money back. She assured me that everything was on the up and up. But the evidence points the other direction. Stay away from this company or better yet document what you see and help bring this company to its knees. It is blatantly stealing from its customers. I will not stop until I get my money back and this company is put out of business.

Other negative comments from customers are absolutely correct. Together with 3 others from my office we purchased a $60 bid package. Over 3 days four different people on 3 different computers bid on items. On EVERY occassion the time clock froze and page had to be pulled up again – during which time on several attempts the item had been sold. We contacted this company 6 times by phone and e mail demanding our money be refunded as basically we did not have an opportunity to win anything. Have received 2 e mails with a lot of rubbish which might sound convincing if you were not computer literate. Basically they say it must be your computer – in our case 3 computers. We have decided to file a complaint with the State Ombudsmen regarding what I consider to be fraudulent activity.

I agree with Matt above. I observed the same behavior. I counted the bids made on a 100 bid pack. I observed a bidder place over 400 bids for this item. I immediately got on to the instant help and reported it while the auction was still going. I was informed he was using voucher bids and was allowed to use as many as he wanted as they had no value. This is crap. Who spends 400 bids to win 100 bids! Absolute PROOF they are using bots!

I joined Quibids recently with incredible beginner’s luck. I did not understand that the bids cost money (silly, I know) so I did an automatic bid on an iPad. I came back later to see that I won it for $6.63 ($22.22, including shipping plus $9 in bids). I thought I had really found something. I then spent over $500 winning only small gift cards before I realized that it is not what I thought it was. I am done. It is nothing but rigged gambling in my opinion. I feel like they suckered me in with an early win and then lots of losses. It is very addictive and an easy way to drain your bank account…quick! I saw them make $11,781 plus the cost of the camera on one auction.

I agree with Kathie above. I have observed what seems to me like internally rigged auctions. If you click on an item and view just that item, on the right side you will see a “bidding history”. Here, you can clearly count how many times a user bids. I sat there and just counted the times bid and 1 userid bid so much it was clearly well over the item’s value. Obviously, they’re doing it to drive up the price and reset the clock to keep the auction alive.

The thing about bidding a million times because they are using bid vouchers that supposedly have no value is a load of crap! I actually started out with good luck winning several low priced gift cards, which also included extra bids. While using these basically “free” bids I bid on a $10 card until I was alerted I bid what the item was worth. So, if these have no value, why did it stop me and let me just buy the item instead of letting me continue bidding endlessly?

The other thing I have noticed is initially it was a piece of cake to win things. As I said, I won several low priced gift cards ranging from 10-15 dollars, some where no one else even bid? 1 bid and I won with so many people out there? It was strange but I was happy. I even started telling my family about it. Well, funny enough, I now don’t win anything! I bid and I bid and go on in the middle of the night, middle of the afternoon, early morning, it doesnt matter. It seems to me this was rigged also, since you’re a new user, they try to hook you in by allowing you to win quickly and easily. Then youre all excited and want to win more so you buy more bids and now it’s suddenly not so easy.

they have the auctions set up so that if the clock is under 20 seconds and you bid on an item, it goes back up to 20 seconds
